2014 Womens Soccer CIS Championships

Continuing off from last last weekend at OUA's I  am now in Quebec City with the UOIT Ridgebacks women's soccer team to cover a couple days of CIS championships. For the women's first game they played two time defending champion Trinity Western University(B.C) in a very challenging debut for the Ridgebacks ended up losing with a final score of 4-1. The next day they played the Montreal Carabins. The game started out cold and rainy and by the end the rain died off and it was just cold. After full time and an extra two 15minute halves the score was still tied at 0-0 and went to a shoot out. Where unfortunately Montreal came out on top with a score of 4-3, thus eliminating them from CIS Championships.  However with that said I must say that everyone on the Ridgebacks team should be very proud of everything that they accomplished this past season, for being a team that has only been together for 3 years and being able have made the playoffs for all three. In their third and current year winning bronze at OUA Championships and qualifying for CIS Championships. They left it all on the field here at Nationals.
